First day at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid and I'm exhausted already, and we only got to two catwalks of Juanjo Oliva and Ana Locking. So here's a little summary of today's journey! You can follow it on stream from my Twitter account.
Hope you like it!
This is the summary of the first day of spanish designers proposals for Spring/Summer '15
I really love this designer, and I like this collection for next year a lot: geometric prints inspired on Lygia Clark, mix of colors, metallics, fur... Couldn't help but remark the use of flat shoes with long dresses. Night collection was espectacular, especially that white dress with the cut skirt.
Inspired on the 70's, this capsule collection is full of long shirt dresses and jumpsuits.
This collection called "Magic Mountain" is probably the best catwalk I've seen today! Really loved every shape and the mix of colors and fabrics. Started with a very sporty-chic style with bombers, sweaters, neon details and neoprene fabrics. Red and white was a very popular combination in her designs. Also the use of sandals with invisible heel or flat shoes with a touch of Birken style.
Transparencies, baby neck, bustiers, polka dots in all sizes and the popular black and white combo. For the night/party collection, the aquamarina color ruled the catwalk, even mixed with black or white on fringes.
Francis Montesinos inspired this collection on the under seas, with all kind of blue tones, mermaid cut, coral accessories and sea-star prints.
Fringes, panama hat and embroidery ruled this elegant collection, dominated by manly suits.
From a pure white to all kind of colorful prints, always on gladiator or flat sandals.
Ion Fiz filled this collection with a navy breeze. Red and blue stripes would be the main star of the show. Cotton, silk, poplin, linen, crepe and tulle as key fabrics and openwork shirt dresses, midi skirts, high waist pants, overalls and long dresses with detail layer.
