Madrid Fashion Week - #1

I finally had some time to put up together all the collections of the past Mercedes Benz Madrid Fashion Week 2015, and select the best designers of the whole season. I had to divide it in two parts since the list it's pretty long!

We can also check out the trends for the next Fall/Winter '15-16. Hope you like it and let me know what you think about my selection!

I have to tell you guys that this brand totally gain my heart. It's the first time that The 2nd Skin Co. runs a fashion show at Madrid Fashion Week, and I bet you'll agree with me that it was a huge success. I've been waiting patiently for this collection called "Warming", and I finally could attend to their amazing catwalk.

Transparencies, feathers, paillettes and their classic sweater dress a woman that wants to be comfortable and chic without freezing to death. Purely wintry on a urban style, where the femininity and freshness stand out.

Crepè wool, mohair, fil coupé and embroidered gauze with durex threads were the main fabrics. Colors like golden and night blue, metallics, nude, baby pink or burgundy over a collection that will remain untouchable.

Angel Schlesser presents this collection of pure and clean lines, putting together cosmopolitan and contemporary outfits.

Alba Galoche brings the oversize coat in a dominant color like navy blue. Other colors like burgundy, white, camel, forest green or grey over a high elegance design.

Fur is a dominant trend in this season, as much as fringes or metallic details.

Roberto Torreta is one of my favorites since forever, and of course, he didn't disappoint me this time. Let's point out the middle 60's to 70's inspiration, with fabrics like leather, or mixture of fabrics like denim with satin silk cotton.

Masculine suits with pronounced flaps, bikers, aviators jackets, a long v-neckline are most of the trends marked by the mentioned 70's.

Colors like black, electric blue, grey, red, flower prints, and metallic. The designer wanted a winter collection  for a woman surrounded by color and joy, casual pieces, feminine at night and optimistic.

The collection of Teresa Helbig, called "Sala 12" - or "Room 12", reflex an eternal and timeless beauty of the Prado Museum.

Vital and colorful, with a rebel attitude, over paillettes, leather, web fabrics, transparencies and a marked waisted. Colors like militar green, yellow and black&white.

This collection called "Take Flight" was based on three main different parts. The first one was more sporty, casual and masculine, recalling a man wardrobe without leaving the feminine concept, with pieces like blazers, high waisted wool pants. Macro polka dots and a combination of white and grey marked this first collection.

Inspired on the bird - symbol of the spirit, inmortality and rebirth - which reminds a little to the psychedelic times of the 60's, marked the second part. First with  fabrics with kaleidoscopic effects in full color, which turned into black and white.

And the last part of this collection inspired by the haute couture stood out by the sensuality of the transparencies and lace.

I hope you like my selection. I'll keep posting more of these collections on my Facebook page.
